Dear Brian .Thank you for the opportunity to post an experience. When I was Six and a half years of age I wished for santa to bring me a bride doll for Christmas. The day came and went bright, sparkling and oh so long I had the red measles. In those days the curtains where closed in the room you didn”t get out of bed .I didn’t see our tree it was down by the time I was better. In the evening my Dad came in with you guessed it,the Bride doll! She was sooo beautiful I was encouraged not to play with her I might break her.Needless to say she stayed packed away in her BOX until she was taken to a day care at the high school. She was truly loved there and even though her dress got torn and dirty, her hair shorn off,She got more beautiful to me because she was loved! The moral of this story is Take your Bride doll and the good things out of the box,SHARE them ENJOY them ,and LAUGH a lot!

That is a wonderful story and just in time for the holidays. Thank you so much for sharing. It made me think… I still have my dolls. They are kept downstairs in a storage bin. I never really think about them. They are not still in the box, but in good condition. Do you know of someplace I can donate them? I would love to know they are being loved and bringing joy to children.
